On February 15th Claudia Flaim, Sales Director of service provider Markas, attended the press conference “Two years of South Tyrolean Procurement Law”. South Tyrol’s governor Arno Kompatscher drew a positive balance regarding the law, which entered into force two years ago. South Tyrol was one of the first regions in Europe to directly implement the European Procurement Directives. The European Union with these directives aimed at pressing ahead with digitalisation, reducing the expenditure of time as well as the costs of performance and maximising the transparency of public mandates. Claudia Flaim expressed her satisfaction with the local system for procurement process and affirms that the law made it “easier, more flexible and less bureaucratic”.

The newspaper Alto Adige reports about this in its edition of February 15th, 2018.
