In December, Bolzano was the hosting venue of a convention titled “Industry & Facility 4.0”, focusing on the increasing digitalization in the service sector. The event was organized by cleaning and catering service provider Markas and co-hosted by the National Association of Cleaning and Integrated Service Providers (ANIP) and the South Tyrolean Business Organisation. After a welcoming speech by Markas general director Evelyn Kirchmaier, Confindustria vicepresident Stefan Pan opened the series of lectures, highlighting the need for a “cultural re-thinking”. Other internationally renowned speakers were ANIP president Lorenzo Mattioli and Prof. Kurt Matzler, who described the digitalization as “one of the biggest changes in human history” and called on participants to redefine their own businesses.
