At Valle Mosso, Province of Biella (Italy), catering service provider Markas inaugurated a new cooking center. The new center was built after Markas had been awarded the contract for the catering service in the municipality’s kindergarten and schools for the next nine years. An optimization of the service, stricter quality controls and financial relieve for the families of the children are just some of the advantages of the new center. At the same time, it also allows Markas to expand the reach of its catering service to the neighboring communities. An additional benefit of the new construction: in the future, leftover food will be given to persons in need or, after authorization of the local health authorities, to animals.
